April Ehler, PA-C
Randy Rozean, M.D. was raised in Brownfield, Texas. He moved to Lubbock in 1976 after graduating from high school and attended Texas Tech University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980. He then attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he obtained his medical degree in 1985 and then completed a three-year residency in Family Medicine at the same facility. He was named Chief Resident during his third year of residency. He remained on the faculty at the Department of Family Medicine for one year as Associate Residency Director before entering private practice in 1989. He has served on multiple hospital committees, including being Chief of Staff of St. Mary’s hospital in 1994. He currently resides in Lubbock County with his wife Lisa, and they have two sons, Colby and Cameron.
Joel B. Landry, M.D. is a native of West Texas, who was born and raised in Odessa, Texas. Dr. Landry obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology as well as a Master of Science degree in Immunology from Texas Tech University. He attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and was named Outstanding Senior Student by the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Landry continued his training with both an internship and residency at the same facility. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. In private practice since 2000, Dr. Landry was named Best Physician in Lubbock by the Lubbock Avalanche Journal in 2010. This was followed by an award from Texas Monthly, in which he has been deemed Texas Super Doctor from 2012-2019. He has also been named Inaugural Super Doctor in Lubbock 2019.
James McDonald, M.D. has over 18 years of experience in Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from Texas A&M University at Galveston in Galveston, Texas. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. McDonald's personal Philosophy of patient care is to be there for his patients, their families, his staff and providers. When he isn't working or taking care of his two children, Dr. McDonald enjoys all things outdoors.
Naticia Mortensen, M.D. is a board certified Family Medicine physician. Before joining Covenant Medical Group, she attended Texas Tech University for her undergraduate degree and completed both Medical School and Residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Dr. Mortensen grew up in Southern Colorado in a small ranching community before moving to Lubbock 13 years ago. She has a special interest in women's health and adolescent medicine but enjoys caring for patients of all ages and establish relationships with patients and their families that can last a lifetime. Dr. Mortensen also enjoys spending time with her husband and her two daughters.
April Ehlers, PA-C was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated from Lubbock Cooper High School in 2008. She then attended Lubbock Christian University on a basketball scholarship from 2008-2012. While playing basketball, she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude. From there, she received her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating in 2014. She has been working under the supervision of Dr. Rozean since November 2014. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being involved in church, and playing golf.
